Yeh and there's nothing wrong with that. And it's totally understandable.

I'm not saying Ross is blameless in that. We don't and won't know what was said, but yeh, it's waiting for something to happen even though Ross isn't doing anything wrong in going out really.

Same thing nearly happened to me a good few years back in the grapes on Matthew street, lad palmed a pint glass by his side from the moment he called me over for a 'chat' about talking to some girl he had his eye on, thankfully @MickA clocked him and grabbed his arm before the lad could send me to casualty.
