Too worked up today. Needs to sign a new contract and keep listening to Koeman.
Rubbish. Other than today Barkley is playing the best I've seen him. Controlled decisive, all you could eantThing is, when Sewerness made that statement the footage he was talking over from the match showed Barkley spinning away from Liverpool players and looking a real thoroughbred.
The feller hasn't got a clue. Just looking for easy targets.
Barkley is a very frustrated player at the moment. He's been neutered and his game week in week out is not about what we saw today. It's much more conservative...but the lad instinctively knows that conservative is not required in a game like that - discipline, yes.

Great against tripe outfits. Even against the worst Liverpool team for years that type of bits and pieces game isn't enough.Rubbish. Other than today Barkley is playing the best I've seen him. Controlled decisive, all you could eant
You would see it immediately mate if he went to a club like Chelsea or United or City: he'd be the creative CM in harness with a CM who holds. The better back four at those clubs would step forward and help out and leave RB to pull the strings from deeper than where he is right now. The lad needs space to gallop into and needs to be facing play. I know Koeman has tinkered with his positioning, but it's still a very vague place he takes up his game in.Not sure I'd use 'frustrated' Dave, confused - most certainly.
For me, he still - at times- seems unsure of his best position and role within the team.
Left his foot in because his control was poor when he got on the ball. Love Ross but that's a few times he's got over exhuberant in big games. Nobody is restricting him other than himselfGreat against tripe outfits. Even against the worst Liverpool team for years that type of bits and pieces game isn't enough.
The lad is a swashbuckling player that needs to get on the ball. No wonder he cuts a frustrated figure and leaves his foot in.

Nothing mistomed about them. He went in and did Lovren for one...not arsed like, he's a snide that deserves it.Left his foot in because his control was poor when he got on the ball. Love Ross but that's a few times he's got over exhuberant in big games. Nobody is restricting him other than himself
I still go back to his first derby when we were unfortunate to draw 3-3. He was dropped back deep and ran 'kin riot against a far better Liverpool team than that.Agree... one of the reasons I would be keen on us making a move for someone like Fabregas who would provide the space for Ross to play in, and give him the ball in a positive manner i.e. ahead of him to run onto to rather than behind that causes him to check, turn this way and that looking for a play and thus getting closed down quickly and ending up with him losing possession in areas he should be dominating the game.
Didn't say it was mis-timed. Was late and knew exactly what he was doing, and no Lovren didn't deserve the potentially serious injury. Anyway as I say, Ross is playing the best I've seen him under Koeman's directionNothing mistomed about them. He went in and did Lovren for one...not arsed like, he's a snide that deserves it.

When is the penny going to drop that Barkley is never a player you have that far up the pitch looking to lay off and link up?
Fancy a manager nullifying the oppositions best players, frankly it's been so long since an everton manager did that in a Derby we've all forgotten what it feels likeI think he has played well against most top teams because he is given time and space. Liverpool have done well against the top teams because they plan to stifle the creative and most dangerous players and do it to great effect. Look at Spurs and Arsenal at the pit...nullified the most creative players. Same with Ross and Lukaku not being given an inch. They fully concentrated on our 2 most effective players.
Well, that one is in the eye of the beholder.Didn't say it was mis-timed. Was late and knew exactly what he was doing, and no Lovren didn't deserve the potentially serious injury. Anyway as I say, Ross is playing the best I've seen him under Koeman's direction
Agree with this, he's an '8' not a ten, needs to be right in the middle of the pitch pulling the strings not hanging around roms shoulder thinking he's Kaka.I still go back to his first derby when we were unfortunate to draw 3-3.
