Ross Barkley joins Chelsea, er, Villa on loan

Agree but he will end up poorer when he gets loaned to a midtable team in 2 seasons. Not only had his agent done a number on the club, he's shafted Ross himself. Part of me actually feels sorry for him in a way.

He will waste another year of his career on the bench/reserves before being binned off. He would have been better joining Spurs or even staying with us for a couple more years, improving and moving to one of the top clubs as a starter.

Would I take him back? In a heartbeat but this deal has worked out bad for both parties. The only one who's happy is his scumbag agent.

Wouldn't take him back because think his hamstring is gonna make him a permanent crock now

Once he walked away he became just another player. The circumstances of his leaving were an insult to Everton and Everton supporters but in hindsight we did pretty well on the transfer fee. Hindsight also seems to have shown we were viewing him through Ross tinted glasses.
Having said that I would take him back for a transfer fee of £4 or £5 million and a wage of no more than £40,000.

I get the enjoyment people are gaining from his move to Chelsea, hell im enjoying it myself, but, Everton Football Club is poorer for not having Ross Barkley.

I don't to be honest. It just betrays how much people like him that they care this much to be so bitter and angry towards him. Someone like Dan Gosling left under similar circumstances and no one really gave a hoot. That's a slightly less deranged response.

Bill got most of the blame for the Gosling affair.

Just saying, you only get upset about people you care for, so the blokes in here pretending Ross means nothing to them any more have a funny way of showing it. Strange though it is to think of given the way we've played this season and the way Ross is capable of playing, but I think in reality, we're better off without him. Whatever has gone on with him, he's a shadow of the player (man) he was, so I simply shrug my shoulders at the thought of him now, but take no pride in yet another of the reasonably talented youngsters produced by the club not having the mental attributes to make the most of their physical talents. We sadly seem to have a habit of that.

Poor wee Ross at the mercy of an unscrupulous fiend who has him over a barrel.

Or he's a 24 year old man already fabulously wealthy beyond the means of most people and quite capable of deciding what he wants to do.

Its the biggest danger with yoots, the footballing world is littered with them, its not just an Everton thing, nor is it a British thing, the world of football is rammed full of ya Ravel Morrisons, Freddie Adus, then theres the Jamie Vardys, the Ian Wrights, the whole thing is a lottery.

With regards Ross, I would still rather he was here, but at least we have TomTom to tear apart.
