A footballer trying to reverse the process of having that horrible body graffiti / vandalism common to all the thick gets who have too much money and time on their hands. I'd say he deserves respect for that, not condemnation.

It's not about just getting Everton tattoos off either, it's ALL of them. And he's not getting them off to stick a Chelsea tattoo on himself in their place.

FFS, some people just cant let the hate go. It must be like acid coroding their system. I feel sorry for them, I really do.

The lad's also said he's at a big club. Well how many dont consider Chelsea a big club?!

'kin ell.

We of course ARE a big club. The records say so, and it's no fantasy. However, he's talking to the national media who couldn't give a flying one about Everton or its history. So he's answering them as directly as possible and in the terms they want to hear from him about motivation / explanation for change in form etc...

I have a feeling that Rooney did the exact same thing. It's understandable and is forgettable...as we saw when he returned.

Hold no ill will towards him whatsoever. Came up through the academy so cost the club nothing, gave us a few good seasons. I think any player would've left the way he did. Would take balls of steel to force your new club to pay more than double for you before you've even started.

Also good to see him doing well. He was excellent for us mostly despite never hitting the heights of his first full season. I hope he goes on to fulfill his potential.

He said he's "at a big club now" Dave.

As in when he was at Everton he wasn't. Plainly another sly dig at the club who made him.
