Its more the obsession that some have.

To be fair though, even if we'd got a big transfer fee for him we would've spent it on absolute garbage.

Difference is generally commenting on something they've done as opposed to someone who's done nothing and still talking about them.

He was one of ours apparently and screwed the club over.

People are going to be annoyed with him and being in the public eye he’s going to get comments made about him, that’s hardly obsessive.

He’s also gone from possible next generation wonder boy to potentially Jack Rodwell Mark II in a very short space of time. Quite alarming when you weigh it up.
