He's called the SUN out on their claims which is both a noble and brave thing to do, to be fair to the bloke.
However, it may well come back to bite him on backside, as they will be after him with a vengeance.
Thing is calling them out is what they want, he has taken the bait, one of the biggest names in world football, the click revenue will be massive

My dad stayed with my mum for years I observed mental abuse and more, I thought less of him for staying “for the family”. I wish he had grown balls and walked away.

You make a good point to be honest

Sometimes the best thing for the family is for the parents to split up. I'm not of the Peter Hitchens school of thought that parents simply must stay together no matter what. Even if your parents aren't abusive to you or each other, growing up around such dissension in the home really isn't healthy

Don't get me wrong, we only get one side of the story mate, via the awful media. But he's got a track record of bad behaviour, and clearly has issues which need addressing, this may be a case of the boy who cried wolf one too many times.

Oh I have no idea what goes on the Rooney household, I was just agreeing with your overall point that a couple staying together is always the best thing for the kids, because that isn't always the case even if the two parents aren't abusive

Spot on mate, I think (speaking from experience) adults always put their kids first even when that leads to more harm than good.

Not the slightest bit of sympathy for him, happy enough to flog pictures of his new born,of family holidays etc,if you court the press and the attention dont cry when it bites you
