Nah I would have liked to see him back, and credit to him for volunteering despite the fact he may have gotten abuse

His Dad goes the game, his lad goes the game, wants his boy to be able to say hes seen him in Everton blue at Goodison. Kinda sweet really.

Another attempt at bridge-building from Wayne. Nice one.

"I don't know why everyone is saying I should take a penalty either. It's an easy way of scoring, isn't it? If I'm going to do it, I want it to be a 30-yarder."

FFS Hibbo!

"Hibbert has never scored in 309 appearances for Everton, an unwanted club record, but claims to have no plans to take a penalty should one be awarded against AEK. He said: "Everyone has been asking me that. The manager hasn't said anything, nobody has. I would rather us win 1-0 than us get beaten 2-1 and I score the goal. I just want to win. I don't know why everyone is saying I should take a penalty either. It's an easy way of scoring, isn't it? If I'm going to do it, I want it to be a 30-yarder."

Tony Hibbert is a legend. Much rather see him at RB than Phil Neville this season.

It's obvious a lot of attitudes have softened towards him, mines included. He left at the wrong time for the wrong reasons under the wrong guidance, BUT it worked out for all parties (or it would've long term if not for Collina) and everyone has moved on.

Would I have him back? It'd be mad not to. Will it happen? It's 50-50. he won't be back at his peak though.

Would love to see Rooney back in Blue for us one day.

Whenever he comes (if), he'll be taking a drop in wages to do so, and show just how much of an Evertonian he still is

another addition to why we love hibbo. Hope he gets a good crowd

He'll be at Everton at the end of his contract and he'll be loved by everyone once again, I'm gutted we weren't what we are now then, imagine it, Barkley and Rooney coming through! wow, if only..

i'm inclined to think like jock but then i just remember "once a blue, always a blue". infuriates me, i'd never leave everton for anyone in the world and i would expect the same of every evertonian. at least he only left us to achieve success instead of money. would like to see him come back at the end of his current contract though anf give us about 5 or 6 years good service

Both have been slated on here - a lot - I like them both. Some say Hibbo is loyal, but if he had Rooney`s talent - he would probably not have been here for this long! Rooney is an Evertonian, doing a job for Manchester United.
