Rooney sacked as Birmingham Manager

For his dim witted nature off the pitch he had an amazingly brilliant footballing brain on it.

Thought there was chance that he would be a decent manager but for whatever reason (probably personality) it isn't working out and probably never will. Maybe a drop right down the leagues and a change of attitude could work.

Obviously we don't know but i9t could be like the stories of Hoddle at Swindon, in training, especially when he was player/manager, he was 20 steps ahead of the other players and would look frustrated. When you have reached the top of the game as a player, I guess it is hard to come down to other players levels, when a manager.

He definitely has an issue with ego.

Rooney was onto a loser right from the off but I backed him as much as I could until the stoke at home game on the 29th...I really wanted it to work but right from the start he made no effort to connect with us fans it was like we were privileged to have him here, also in his defence a few players did throw him under the bus as they were taken out of there comfort zone from under eustace and they didn't/couldn't step up also another one of Rooney's downfalls was and he did it at derby was post match interviews where he slated players and never protected them....overall though he's never a manager and a ridiculous appointment for us but that's football I guess so onto the next one...kro chaps
What he said. He was on to loser taking over a from a popular John eustace that I don’t think put a foot wrong.
Lost the players early on, they had been putting results together and all of sudden he was calling them out about not being good enough, lacked the charisma to pull it all together.
It was a bad choice for him to come in at that time, would have likely faired better galvanising a poor side then trying to find another level from players already punching above their station.
