Rooney constant references to being an Evertonian

Christ almighty. People claiming he left for the money are mad. Although money was obviously a factor he left for the best and biggest team in Europe while we were relegation strugglers.

I'd say at the time we got good money, I know he had done well in a couple fo games in the euros prior to injury but he was still fairly raw talent and we've all seen that disappear following a 'big' move.

No way we'll get him back unless way over the hill as we simply won't be able to afford him whilst he is still world class (in terms of either fee or wages)

You have to forgive at the end of the day. It's not like he murdered someone ffs. People who hold onto things like this for life need a look at themselves. His attitude was ****e towards us straight after the transfer and for a couple seasons afterwards, but to say he was unprovoked would be a lie.

rooney has always bled blue and anyone thinks different are kidding themselves. i reckon he will be back sooner than the old `when hes past it` twaddle that keeps getting peddled

Unless he comes on a Bosman and agrees to substantially less wages. Then we will really see how much he would like to come back.

If he did that while he was still wanted by top clubs (i.e before he's 30 or so) then i'd probably get his name on every kit i bought while he played for us. It would be an amazing show of loyalty from him to do that, which is why i don't think he will. Not that i'd hold it against him like.

Its unrealistic that he will return while he can attract proper wages elsewhere.
He'd play for us for 50 grand a week over Villa or Newcastle on 70.

I even reckon once he's 30 odd he'd play for us for half the wage that a lot of players get in the UAE or Russia.

He said on Twitter a few days ago that his goal was to become the all time top goal scorer for United, for which he would need another 81 goals. I could see him doing that in 4 seasons.

Rooney back when he's 30 ? I'll fap for a week. Somebody sticky this topic for the next 4 years ffs.

Not 30, 33. If we're mid table sh*t.

31 if we're boss.

Watch. This. Space.

Lid, he said it on Twitter. It must be true.

Actually if he scores like he's been doing so far this season he could probably do it in 3 seasons.
