This is going to be an interesting summer.

La Liga instituted a salary cap €382.7m

Barcelona was spending €671 million before the pandemic began.

They have already signed Aguero, Depay and Eric Garcia on free contracts and they technically cannot register them until they get the salary down.

Oh and they also still need to re-sign Messi.

Might as well call them Messi FC, the way they pander to one player is pathetic and shocking.

$692 million dollar 4 year contract the one that just ran out and they want to sign him again when he's almost 34, and are willing to cancel players contracts so they can re-sign him to another contract.

I'm loving seeing the demise of this club

The club motto needs changing as well, Més Que Un Club rings hollow now, it should be Messi Més Que Un Club.

He's the only thing they have got left.
Without him they are nothing. I read somewhere he brings in about 200 million Euros of
sponsorship money a year for Barca on his own. He is the only useful asset they have left.
They know it and he knows it.

That's why your club wanted him soooooooooo desperately badly to build a worldwide presence you still can't get after your trophy laden 10 years.

Bang on the money mate. That is 100% true.
As an old school 'legacy fan' I'm just happy with the last trophy
laden 10 years and 10 more years of the same to follow.
Unlike your clubs 2 trophies in the last 10 years.

Went to Barcelona and they were advertising an albino gorilla called Snowflake everywhere. Went to the zoo to see it..had been dead eighteen months. Quite funny, I can see a situation, the corpse of Messi will be carried out between two players for years, they will pretend he is alive and carry on selling the merchandise.

From the outside I would say all is not right for Fathead and I am pleased. Lazy waste of space. Got the job because nobody decent would touch them at the moment

Messi isn't really the problem though. I think they could have told him such demands were ridiculous but to see their situation and circle back to it being Messi's fault misses the boat. And frankly I'm not even sure that they are in the red on that deal. Messi drives a lot of business.

Edit: Sake, I didn't see who I was replying to at first.
