Oriol Domenech is a Tier 1 journalist for Barça related issues - 1st to report Eric Garcia wanted to return to Barça last June

He claimed yesterday that should City win CL, Laporta will prioritize bringing Pep back (Xavi as #2). I believe it is inevitable Guardiola returns, just a question of when and in what capacity - I personally do not believe he returns to coach senior team as he has repeatedly said

I only see Pep going back to work with the kids and development side of the Barca youth set up.

The maverick way back to being senior team coach would be to develop a whole cohort of players from kids and guide them all into the main team under his leadership. That would be fantastical stuff though, and I suspect only the likes of a Pep could pull it off.

The downside would be that he would be a huge presence in the background and could be unsettling for anyone in the top job. Also, I am sure City would offer him the same kind of deal as Barcelona and potentially offer it on a more global scale with their network of clubs - make a great Barcelona generation or make a great footballing generation?

Idle speculation from me all this of course. He could be at City for years to come or take another sabbatical or whatever, he does what he wants and what suits him normally but does tend to stick to his words, so maybe it'd be Barca kids or nothing.

Pep signed a new deal last season didn't he? Contact up until 2023.

So unless he resigns or Barca pay an absolute fortune...it'll be a waiting game.

Ronk in!

Koeman left the NT for his dream job, he won’t resign but I doubt very much he continues. Moreover, this is the best Ron can do

Xavi and/or Pep will coach Barça next season, irrespective of their contracts as unquestionably there is an exit clause that each can execute without penalty

With long-term sports planning crucial, sooner than later announcements will be made - I have full confidence in Laporta

The fella is dreaming. He mentions it in virtually every single post he makes.
What's the point of spending your life looking through the rear view mirror?
How many managers repeat the success and glory the second time around?
Barca are skint - totally. Messi is virtually finished. Where's the attraction?
