After United we have four at home on the bounce mate, not sure on the order, but Sunderland in the cup and limassol in Europa are two, Bournemouth and Burnley the two in the league.

In paper should be four wins, bad results in some/most will really heap the pressure on.

Given our record in the comp, the Sunderland game has cup upset written all over it.

I don't think we will beat Burnley.

Comes to that, as we can hardly score goals in the league, even Bournemouth will be tough.

..whilst the squad is work in progress (it needs more than one proper window to bring players in), I think the players acquired are a decent bunch. I just think they need organising into a team that are at least defensively sound. Coleman and Bolasie coming back should help but until then he should go back to basics. Sometimes I wonder if he's trying to be too clever.

Reminds me of guardiola last season insisting on playing all sorts of weird players out if position and it backfiring horribly. Difference was at least they had absolute quality up top to bail those mistakes out more often than not.

We havent displayed ANYTHING recently to even suggest we can get something against these teams.
The recent performances remind me of watching relegated Sunderland and Villa from recent seasons.
We are there for the taking.

There's caveats mate, clearly, and I'm not saying Koeman is to blame for the players themselves.

But... His stubbornness, much like it did with Martinez, is threatening to get the better of him.

Hopefully, he switches things up quickly, or it will turn sour as good as a manager I think he is.

I mean, looking at the fixtures, I remember some on here saying in July watch out for the Koeman out shouts.

It's been three games and it's overboard to say it's a matter of time.

IF it carries on vs Utd without any renewed vigour, Bournemouth is a massive game (it already is) to get our season back on track.

IF this carries on, then he will be gone.

But he showed he can turn things around last year so he will be given the chance to do that again. His tactics have been awful in the last three games, mainly as he's trying to play a system that requires pace to work - yet the only two our-and-out quick players we have aren't even in the squad - and it's debatable as to whether they're good enough anyway, like.

Would say it's not the last three games mate but more all this season so far with one half against a gang of farmers and one half against city aside, and it carries over from some terrible displays the end of last season as well, west ham and arsenal two very low points.

He turned it around last season primarily aided by Lukaku discovering the net again and going on a massive scoring run in games at home especially.

Look around this team and we don't have as player who can suddenly do that for this team now.

Have the feeling to spark something it would require dropping Rooney and going with holgate at cb ahead of Williams and jags, and going with Kenny at rb and Davies in cm
That's a lot of big name players he'd have to leave out and don't think he's gonna risk that.

He has got 3/4 more games for me to sort this shambles out,that last night paired with the spurs game is totally unacceptable,and the blame lands at the managers feet, he persists in playing and making jagielka captain when it is clear to most he is finished which doesn't say at lot for Williams, everyone could pick out players from last night and say how crap they were,as a unit were are so narrow it's embarrassing and when we lose the ball we are wide open,that is koemans method which needs to be addressed now.

Siggurdson and Williams were outstanding for their countries during the recent internationals. But haven't played that well in an Everton shirt. It would appear that Koeman is turning good players into bang average. The same could be said for Klaassen and Sandro. Keane is not looking too steady lately either.

As a Wales football fan, Williams is a totally different player for club and country, he either doesn't agree with the manager or doesn't understand what his job is for us, i think that goes for all of our players currently, there's just no tactics.

We are in a big mess on and off the pitch (Barkley's situation + Not signing a striker + Not signing a cover for Baines + Moshiri's interview on deadline day and demanding a minimum of top 6 finish + Mirallas and God knows who else falling out with Koeman)

If he lost the dressing room or part of it, there is no way back for him.

The way i see it, Kenwright and the old guard in the board were never a fan of Koeman, same with the players who were here before he arrived (Jags, Baines, Barkley, Mirallas, McCarthy, Robles) while the new players found themselves in an unhappy dressing room.

You know he won't though yeah?

Need to look at it another way too though.

If we sacked a manager after what, 6 or 7 games this season, after a decent season last time, what message does that send to any prospective new managers?

'Oh i'm not going there, first sign of things not going great they'll get rid of me'.

It's very very easy to say get rid of the manager. But sometimes the problems are deeper and more wide spread.

Only caught the last 20 mins last night... probably for the best! Sandro and vlasic looked lively but by that point the damage was done and Atalanta were strolling.

Not sure what to think. We have a squad of good players and a good manager, yet there seems to be a disconnect somewhere. I'm sure it'll all come out in the wash at some point, but unless he sorts it out sharpish he isn't going to last the season.

Would be fascinating to know the dynamic between Koeman and Walsh at this point.

We are not quite sure of the specifics of Walshs role I think, but his job is independent of Koeman and you would think the board would sound him out as to his take on results, performances, and morale. You would also assume his input, positive or negative, is critical as far as shaping the views of Kenwright and Moshiri.

Its also relevant that SW was appointed after RK and not before. If it was the other way around as would have been desirable then Walsh would be more bound by loyalty but if performances and results continue to spiral then SW is probably the key man with influence. Otherwise his role is meaningless.

Just speculating of course but in my own profession I have seen plenty of people hung out to dry very quickly solely for others to scapegoat and disassociate themselves from poor performance.

Just as an observer as well as a fan, it makes for very interesting times though I'd much rather the lads would get it together and soon.
