Personally not much really. I don't expect much in the full 36 months either though. As Khal says above I think this is the biggest job he will get at this point in his managerial career.

Who should be the next boss Mike? We are going to be desperate for a new one in two seasons time and will accept anything, so it's best to start the conversation now whilst we are relatively stable and still with some hope of better times.

I will be watching how Quique Setién does at Betis this season with a lot of interest, and if all goes well will start a thread in April. I hope to see you there.

I know. But he's had Bournemouth on an upward trajectory since he got there, whereas Martinez pretty much crippled Wigan by relegating them. There are certainly comparisons as far as defensive frailties go though.

Eddie Howe has been laughed at by posters on here who said De Boer was a better manager and could not believe people wanted Howe before De Boer.

I think Howe is under rated as a manager, does not mean i would want him as manager but he has done a great job and tries to play the game in the right way.

I'm quite impressed I posted about possible replacements for Ronseal, and apart from @neil999 eating poo, the response has been level-headed.

I want to clarify though that the preference still would be that tomorrow we blow Spurs away 10-0 and it heralds a new era in which Koeman leads us to win every title known to man for the next 10 years.
