I dont know how true this is, but my brother works up in Newcastle and the only reason he got the 7yr contract was because he built up a very heavy casino overdraft. The casino was owned by either Mike Ashley or a friend of his so he had to pay the debt back over a long period!

Can't see him next in line for Barca. Style of football isn't quite there yet, other managers/ex players seem to be further along the conveyor belt. The Barca hierarchy will be conscious of the fan frustration that Enrique has supposedly turned his back on the Crieff/Pep way, I think they'll look for someone of that ilk rather than Koeman currently. If he wins trophies with us and gets us into CL he will become unavoidable for them though. Not just yet though.

Can't see Koeman being within the top 5 candidates for the job at the moment. Bizarre as it sounds that team need some work to get them back to the level they expect. He's not ready for that role yet.
