You're starting out from the wrong position. Satisfaction is not the objective. Cause for optimism is what we should be looking for. If we hold this position, which we will or maybe even go one better, then that's a pretty good start and a corner is turned. But it's nothing in and of itself. This manager then has to prove it next season that he's worth all the hype.

That seems fair to me. It's probably not though and I'm being negative again and an army of snides are even now bombarding the mods with complaints about how nasty I am and demanding my removal from the site. Wtf is happening to this place when you can't take up a contrary stance without bringing out some Waco type Davidian cult determined to wipe you out?

We'll see. It's ok at the moment. I just think we give free passes to managers and owners at this club. Keep them under pressure to deliver and see where that takes us would be my policy, not praise them for delivering nothing.

How about being satisfied about this club being on an upwards curve again.How about being satisfied at the return of fortress Goodsion.How about being satisfied about not looking at the table and wondering is the buffoon in charge going to get us involved in a relegation scrap.How about being satisfied that Roberto Martinez is no longer our manager.At least Koeman can actually beat Bournemouth.It was that infamous game against Bournemouth down in their place last season when most of us got that sinking feeling that the Martinez regime was a busted flush.

The problem is not that you're contrarian, but it's that you never, ever stop. It's such a bummer to click a thread and see nothing but you and replies to you, and all saying the same stuff every time!

If, every once in a while, you would say, 'okay mate, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree' then complaints about you would drop significantly.

Nowhere near a great first season though. Moyes first season after us being relegation candidates so long was much more impressive, and it goes without saying that Martinez's first season was off the charts impressive.

100% agree...ive just gone through the last 8 or 9 pages with posters not even trying to have a conversation, debate or even make a point...they're either slating you or trying to belittle you.
