I like you Bungle. You lend a texture to this forum that is best described as inimitable.
Whenever I am feeling a little down and in need of a smile, I recall the post you made about the time you tripped up that noisy kid in the cinema. Always makes me laugh

Me and cinemas don't get on, I broke a seat after trying to race my son down one of the rows and tripped and crashed straight through it.

KOEMAN OUT!

You don't have to tolerate him as more than a short term appointment, because that's exactly what he is. He's here three years at the very most.

I agree with a lot of what you say, but when you criticise his CV but laud Martinez, it strikes me as hollow. He is, in theory, the most impressive managerial appointment we've made since Kendall in the 90s. That said, I agree with you that I expected a bit more of a stamp in terms of style of play - even if that is just hit and hope and press, then fine, but I'm not seeing any pressing despite him constantly going on about it.
I don't elevate Martinez over Koeman. I just refuse to accept that Koeman is a vast improvement. And I don't accept his CV says otherwise. He hasn't done anything of note and that's why he's passed over for the elite jobs in the game.

We're not getting any calibre of manager that flatters us, that's for sure.

I think we will win tomorrow but I have to agree that I am not overwhelmed by the start made by Keoman. It is of course to early to judge him as an Everton manager but as a man I dont find him easy to like ,He is a football mercenary I have never liked players or managers who promise allegence to a club then do one as soon as someone offers more money.

Spot on.

I don't actually mind him being a mercenary actually. What I do mind is him disrespecting the stature of the club with his comments about Lukaku and generally looking like he's perfectly happy to do the bare minimum and slightly improve on the disastrous Martinez, which any number of managers could have done.

So yeah, it's not that he's a mercenary - it's that he's a completely unlikable one.

Yeah, Charlie Nicholas on SoccerSaturday earlier today stated that he's heard Koeman is an unhappy man at Everton.

Dave I think you ought to take your own advice from 2013

How can anyone take seriously that buffoon (Merson) and Nicholas making judgements on Everton this early?

They get paid to come up with sensationalist ****e. They just delivered by the bucket-load.

No. The player manager relationship was broken and couldn't be fixed.

I reiterate: Koeman was my choice before he even became an official candidate for the job. So I was happy we turned to him.

Now he's here, though, I don't like what I see. I think it might be a mistake. His attitude and the way he sets up teams are either much different to the way he acted and performed professionally at Southampton, or I just didn't pay attention enough to him as their manager. Whatever, I don't feel myself warrming to his style of management and, more importantly, I don't like his way of setting up teams to play.

As stated though: there'll be no calls for his resignation from me in the next 12 months. I'll criticise if I think it's right to do so, but I won't join in with any demands he leaves if it comes to that point over the next year...although I hope (and don't think) it will come to that.
you ok mate?
