Ronald Koeman discussion

Mabye they are just overall crap players who we convinced ourselves are better when we were optimistic and now 3 years later we are seeing just how good they really are?

Perhaps when koeman can get his Southampton team ripped apart for 2 years and still get results that the issue may be just the quality of the players we actually have.

As above, perhaps that's just a example of how bad some of these players are then. most of the squad have had easy tickets for years now, in fact very few players at the club have ever had to play for their place. So perhaps, the fact they aren't that good combined with the fact they all have starting positions sewn up without trying is the reason why we aren't getting performances.

No matter how badly they play, baines Coleman jags Barry Barkley Bolasie even lukaku all have their place guaranteed

Perfect example of what I am talking about. over rating our players and then 2 years later wondering why we are mid table. del is seen as the best winger never to get a game. Ross can't do no wrong in some eyes etc

Mccarthy had the sake treatment for years and now suddenly a scapegoat.

How about stop talking our players up until we actually get somewhere first eh?

The players are all over hyped and crap because Koeman can't get them performing

Sound logic

No koeman can't get them performing because they are crap.

If the players aren't good enough then not even Guardiola could work miracles.

Funny how koeman is proven to get top 6 finishes and this squad of players currently is proven to be 11th. And you blame the manager?

Well I'm not being funny mate, but 5 of the 11 players on the pitch at the end were signed by Koeman so yes, if they're crap it is very much his fault.

So the other 6?

More to the point he didn't sign valencia nor Gueye. Walsh signed Gueye and valencia was a panic buy. Bolasie not Idea, Stekelenberg his signing and williams probably was always signing.

Either way what about the other 8 players that played ? who made the majority or the team up

So there we have it, Our first team is crap and that's the reason we can't beat some of the weakest sides in the league

Walsh will always be there though? So effectively you're saying he'll never have his own players.

Of course they're not all his signings. He could be here five years and not have a team full of his own signings, that's totally normal in football. His job is to get the most of them, whether they're his ideal players or not.

The point I was making though, is that we can't just constantly blame moyes, Martinez or whoever. A number of the players who aren't performing were brought in under this regime, and they haven't improved us. The manager therefore has to take his share of the blame.

But it seems to be massive defection from the players happening again and the immediate reaction is to blame koeman. the same team under performing for so long and it's just blame the manager no matter who it is.

Too many players escape any real blame and most of them have been here for years now. Just think after so long and reading negative about the manager after 3 months the reactional posts are just blame koeman and players get away Scotland free again .

Walsh signs players for the managers team btw so manager does have say

Sorry Ash but I think your giving Koeman a free pass here, for £6m a year I expect him to get more out of the players

That's the thing I've pointed out, if the players aren't able to play the system Koeman wants to play, then he needs to stop flogging a dead horse and play a system that suits the players we have, over the next 2 transfer windows he can try and bring in the type of players to suit his pressing game.

I am not impressed - signings tactics comments - he stands on the touch line clueless - he put 6 forwards on
yesterday, and we need a fullback to rescue us!
the last two games we have looked like relegation fodder tbh!
No confidence no pattern headless chickens!
