Ronald Koeman discussion

We sit in 7th and the knives are out, just unreal.

Speechless.

I think it's the manner of how we've got 7th, but I agree. Terrible run of form and yet we are still on target. Some tough fixtures to come mind.

I do reckon we'll be around 7th at the finish. Improving 4 places in one season after last seasons mess, you can't ask much more. Until the team is mostly his team then I don't think expectation on our exploits this season should be high, the majority of the core squad are at least a season or so out of form and past their peak.

I put as much emphasis on style as results, it's true. However, we've had neither for well over two months.

I take it you're happy with that.

No Dave, im far from happy.

We got dicked 5-0 2 weeks ago, we huffed and puffed against 1 of the worst teams ive seen at Goodison for a long time today.

We ended the game with 7 attackers on the pitch and our freaking RB scores.

Happy, not a hope in hell.

Who do I blame? Ross Barkley, Lukaku, Martinez, Bill Kenwright, Robert Earle, Robert Elstone.

The manager gets a pass for the next few months from me, as Jose said, Eggs and omelettes Dave.

Its not great, we have dropped points to no marks all over the place, if this was Ronnys 3rd season I would be asking some questions, but since we are in his 3rd month, im gonna cut him a little bit of slack and give him time to build on the average base hes currently working on.

Oh so it's wages now.
Like we're all CFOs and not working in warehouses?
My layman's view: Niasse is the only massive miss.

You said McGeady was peanuts, he will cost us close to £20m by the time we get rid of the utter clown.

McGeady and Niasse was 50m that the club has basically pissed up a wall.

Thankfully its a drop in the ocean, but without Sky and Moshiri those kind of mistakes would have finished us.

I'll make sure to take this down with me to Southampton next week. Just in case

Saw somebody on Twitter earlier claiming we all should be very worried.

I pointed out that we're seventh and level on points with Utd, and at that time were two behind Spurs (obviously that has now changed).

Not a great day today of course, and the gutless reaction to Chelsea is crap. Players and manager equally to blame, though having watched Koeman's full 10 minute presser I can at least take solace in the fact that he laid into them for being 'harmless' and 'not showing a reaction' until they were behind.

We were sitting second in the table in mid September.....in front of United and Spurs, never mind level with one and behind the other.

Since the Boro game we have picked up 6 points out of a possible 21.

I would venture to suggest only Swansea have had a worse return in their last seven games....maybe Hull as well.

This has been an alarming slump by any yardstick and looking at the next five games, it is hard to see it being arrested to any significant degree.

Many of us are concerned at this, Toff and with good reason......that Twitter post is indeed righteous.

We are going backwards with a manager whom appears powerless to stop the drift at this moment in time :(

Why does the manager get a free pass? He put that team out with instructions and gave them coaching over the past two weeks.

He's been here 6 months. Time to take the gloves off with this feller and start holding him to account for HIS actions.

I think you need your bed mate

A midfielder that runs FORWARDS with the ball.

Perfecto.

I gave that utter Spanish clown 2 and a half years, Ronny has at least that timeframe before I start calling for his head.

Alright I'll concede some ground.
I don't like looking at the club I love like it's some spreadsheet at head office.
Cleverly free looks better than Cleverly 15m that you quote.
50m Oumar and Aides sounds disgusting.
If I thought about football in dollars and cents I'd lose all interest. Football money is sick.
If it's cool with you I'll stick to Rom 28m, Mume 4m and think bargain.
Head planted in sand for football pragmatism, soz.

We can't start going backwards until we hit 10 th :)

Well in my defence David was the 1 crying about net spend, thus directing my focus towards money wasted by the previous manager.
