Ronald Koeman discussion

Walberto Koemoyes is very much on the list for me at the moment.

Bummed by Chelsea, spends two weeks telling us that Emile is going to Real Madrid, and then this.

I hate even typing this but I think Unsworth, Howe and perhaps Moyes all for starters. Would I want them though? No. Koeman should be using his pull to bring in some stars and progress us beyond what we currently are able to go if all these were playing full chuff.
How much pulling power does he have at the moment? I suppose we'll find out one way or the other in the next window.
Something just isn't right at the moment.

Honestly.

I believe Unsie would indeed be getting a better response from the squad at this moment in time.

And that is not so much me endorsing Unsie, fine fellow and True Blue that he is, it is merely me looking at how we have performed under Koeman since he arrived in such a fanfare of glory back in....

...sorry.....since he made his low key entrance at Finch Farm after his holiday was over.

We have had almost one third of this season gone so I think an honest critique of his stewardship is not out of place.

And so far it sucks.

Six points from the last twenty one on offer tells its own tale.

Regarding Koeman's "pull" in attracting star names.....I think that aspect has been greatly over exaggerated.

He said himself that Ward-Prowse at Saints had to Google his name when he got the Saints job lol

The star players of today don't give a monkey's that Koeman was a top centre half when they were toddlers or before they were even born :pint2:

And all this talk about January leaves me cold......the fat bugger needs to get more out of what he has at his disposal right here, right now.....we have a horrendous list of fixtures coming down the pike before January and I am darned if I can see where the next win is coming from.

No more excuses.
Ol' Khal....half blind, depressed and posting from a sick bed in the borough of Sefton

The squad is full of absolute crap and you can't polish a turd. Where Koeman is letting himself down is giving the same players chance after chance after chance. Shake it up, bring in Holgate, Davies, get the likes of Connolly/Kenny/Walsh in with the first team squad along with Calvert Lewin.

He's got a massive rebuild on his hands but he will certainly get a lot of leeway if he looks like he's actively trying to shake it up because all he's doing atm is exactly what Martinez was doing and that's hoping beyond hope that this group of utter trumpets will give you anything more than a headache.

We have the same players but seem to have lost the ability to attack. Very frustrating day.
Our best players were Barkley, Guaye & Baines.
There's no balance mate. I'm sick of hearing that 'at least he's sorted the defence'. No he hasn't. He's just got more players set up in their own half. The back four is still hopeless. And that means we haven't got an attacking game. We dont get overloads with the opposition or create moves worthy of the name. The football is absolutely dire because of it.

This might be the problem, Everton aren't a big enough for players that'll pique some interest from Koeman and he isn't a big enough draw to get them himself unlike a Mourinho etc. What we have here is a catch-22 or a good ol' fashioned western stand off.

We have players here Barkley, Mirallas, Del boy, Rom, but Koeman obviously doesn't fancy them much and are putting in the performances accordingly. They should be able to batter Swansea on their own.

Koeman through him on in the 65th minute away to Chelsea when we were 5-0 down mate with Chelsea taking the piss out of us big style, and Davies did more in the 25 minutes he was on than the rest of the others did all game.

I understand that but it was game over with Chelsea in cruise control. Davies cameo was a very good one but more importantly Koeman must think he is not quite ready for a hectic game at fast pace. 25 mins will do the kid good and he should be brought on in games bit by bit and steadily rather than the world of expectation on his shoulders playing week in week out...Koeman obviously rates him but doesn't feel its the right time yet.

He's not exactly got me thrilled to be watching Everton but I'm convinced we'll finish higher than we did last season.

There was a lot of work to be done when he got here. If we'd started the season in the run of form we're in now then I think everyone would have been understanding. That good start probably gave us all ideas of top 4 and we're a million miles away from that.

Got to agree
