Romelu Lukaku

Are we still pretending that he's not world class?

We can argue about just how you define 'world class' and how many players could qualify? For me, he's a level below. In the current generation of line leading centre forwards I think Lewandowski is the standard setter and Rom, whilst great 'on his day', isn't at that level on anywhere near enough a consistent basis.

very good slotter, but his close ball control needs work. Also, since he got that bang on his bonce vs West ham, he seems a little unwilling in the air.
Indeed. I remember a goal against liverpool on a corner when he cuts at the first pole. He never do that now. He just stay in the middle waiting for a lost ball. That's sad because once in move, he's unstoppable.

Scored the equaliser to ensure Inter Milan drew at home to Parma

League games for inter = 9
Points won by Lukaku from open play = 3

Hardly a surprise is it. He's a top class centre forward. United are almost as good as us for getting the worst out of their players.

You all still don't get it about him despite the evidence being abundant.

He'll score goals like that more often than not against crap opposition in a league game. But put him in a pressure situation in a cup or against a decent side and he shows up one game in ten.

That's the problem.
