I thought he looked well engaged with the game yesterday. He seemed annoyed with himself on a couple of occasions, which he hasn't always. Normally, it's just a look of disbelief and a hand covering his mouth - but he definitely seemed more passionate yesterday.

In fairness that's not really it back firing.

We can't keep him forever but we do need to keep him this season. It's just down to the club now to make sure they support Koeman in the market to get a team around him that has a chance of doing that. We messed up a bit chance last season to buy well and make a realistic attempt of top 4. We shouldn't make the same mistake again because it could be years before we have a striker like Rom and frankly without one the rest of the team needs to be fantastic (like Arsenal) to have a chance.

Who knows, if we have money and top 4 next season he may not want to move.

It backfires in respect that we have a top striker taking us there then being handpicked away from us. I do believe he will be gone either way next year for the pay rise he will get. But it puts us in that situation of replacing a top striker with another one which isn't easy

It'll probably be something similar to what's happened with stones. See how the next season goes and if an acceptable bid comes in that meets the valuation the club will let him go. Not if we don't get champs league we will let him go for peanuts.

Jamie Vardy had a £20-22m release clause for Champions League team, wouldn't surprise me if we had something similar.

£50-60m release clause for CL teams - as much as we want for Non CL Teams.
