This.

He isn't yet good enough for one of the 'super-clubs' - those been Bayern, Real and Barca.

The next-tier: PSG, Juve, City (unlikely), United, Arsenal, Atleti, Dortmund, Chelsea - is probably his level.
And only PSG or Chelsea would pay the fee outve them IMO, maybe Utd too but think they'll have other targets

My problem with Lukakus comments are when he talked about wanting the trophy that the Leicester players got their hands on. The Leicester players didn't run off to another club to try and win a trophy, they put their heads down and did the job when nobody thought they could. Nobody is going to hand you a trophy just because you switch clubs rom you have to earn it, so why not zip it and not slag off the club still paying your wages with hints of leaving. If he wants CL football and a trophy why not earn it? But I guess that is how some players think nowadays...

Moyes would manage to get him to stay with a bit of Scottish anger and passion.
Run that laziness right out of him.

But Mo

But Moyes wouldnt have spent that amount on a playerlol
He spent 15 million on some unproven boy from Belgium, probably an equivalent fee then.
You'd be surprised, consistently spent decent money on strikers.
28 million inclusive of addons is about par for the course.

Same crap, different day. Doesn't matter how much he, his dad or his agent mouth off, unless we get a huge offer he's not going anywhere. He has a contract with us and we're not about to rip it up and let him leave for next to no profit because he wants to play in Champions League.

If he's as good as he thinks he is then needs to light up this upcoming Euros to convince all the top clubs he's worth the price-tag we're putting on him. If he does sod all like he did at the World Cup then I can't imagine anyone will come in for him offering what we want.

Funny thing is mate, i am not 100% sure he will start all Belgiums games in it, Origi got moved ahead of him by the same manegr during the world cup - he's no big fan of Lukaku by all his comments (or Benteke eihter) is wilmots, plus Origi actually looks like he has improved as a player this season, be funny as f if he ended up sitting on the bench to a younger lad all tournament like, might take him down a peg or two from that lofty pedastel he is on atm

Anyone getting bitter or wound up by the comments needs to give their head a shake. It was gonna happen - it isn't unexpected.

He scored 25 goals this season - and improved his all-round game a lot. We finished 12th, and although in the last 10 games he was dire, the first two thirds of the season he was unplayable at times.

Now we've got fans slating the lad who, even though it's the wrong thing to say, is clearly just ambitious. Forgive and forget.

If he goes, which looks very likely, we get a hefty sum and the new manager will have all of it to spend. Rom's been here for three years in total and I can safely say he's the best striker I've seen in an Everton shirt.

Very much this.

Can somebody explain how joining a successful team and then sharing in their success is somehow seen as 'ambition'
Surely TRUE ambition would be joining a team and playing your part in turning them into winners.

Would certainly make you more appreciative of the achievement.
A bit like Jose to Manure where he'll be expected to win and win big immediately.
Had he come here, he would have been given some element of time to build a team capable of challenging and winning.
