This. Lukaku will be gone this or next summer. Its not an itk opinion. Its basically fact. The lad has said he wont sign a new contract. He was never going to sign a new one. His agent used it as a fishing line to get chelsea tapping him up. It now depends if everton sell him to chelsea. If not he will hand in a transfer request and be gone this or next summer elsewhere. I hope we get another year out of him.

Fully agree with this, if Rom wants to go to Chelsea, let's get a highly rated striker in return plus cash - half the job done of getting in replacements and cash to get another different option.

We'll have probably saved 5 million quid if we manage to keep him next season on the same deal he is on now. So you can add that to any potential amount we get for him next summer that may be less than we could get this year.

He has certainly bagged a decent load in a struggling Bristol City side. Never seen him play, but a few of my mates have, and reckon he has basically kept them up.
Not a clue what "type" of striker he is mind. As in a Rom, Vardy, Kane or Defoe?
If (and I hope he stays ) Rom goes to Chelsea Abraham would be a better option as a back up striker

I really hope we get Batshuayi if Lukaku goes.
He's got a great goal scoring record in France and has a good goals/mins played ratio in England, which is impressive considering how little chances he's been given.
I think he'd be a great signing for us and I think we'll rue it if we don't get him.
