I finally managed to get a ticket next to me for a family friend, but talk about messy.

I had to set them up with an account so they had their own supporter number. I then had to link them to my account through my friends and family network. I then had to select a seat in my name and then reassign that seat to them. All that just to get 1 ticket for a pre-season friendly.

The game has gone.

Seems at times it might be easier to get a place in the starting XI than it is to buy a ticket for a game. Think when we draw a low league team in the EFL cup early rounds on a Tuesday night a lot of folks won`t bother going through this hassle to go to the game. 50k of empty seats will tell how great this new way of selling tickets work.
