RIP. A great player from an era when it was ok to recognise great players even if they were RS. By all accounts he was a decent person and Peter Reid speaks highly of him , so that’s good enough for me.
I’m a little too young to remember him, but in that era people seemed to appreciate good players from either club. RIP.
He was a very good goal scorer and an under rated ball player, a gentleman, one of the few kopites I never have a bad word for.
His brother Mike was always the butt of the joke.

He's a bit before my time but the general consensus is that he was like a modern forward . Someone who run about a lot using physicality in contrast to those other England forwards like Greaves who used his speed and good touch to make his impact .
Your thoughts ?
I saw him play a lot when Everton were away and they were in the 2nd division and I wasn't surprised to see him turn out to be a top England footballer. RIP.
