I can remember him controlling it with his thigh in our own box, before playing out a pass. That takes unbelievable confidence. And I bet he got bollocked for it, controlling the ball in the box is a big no no.

His touch and control really are incredible though. He just seems like on of those players you could just belt the ball at, and he'd make it drop at his feet every single time.

I'm surprised this thread didn't generate more interest. This is the pairing I've wanted for a long time. The problem becomes Arteta or Cahill, however, lately that choice is an easy one.

I hope now that Mikel is back he'll play further forward with Fellaini deeper, Fellaini looked back on top form against Shiteh.

Agreed, Executioners bong had bang on showing Mikel playing too deep. Mikel plays better when hes pushing forward, he scares the crap out of defenders...
