Robles out even after last night's performance?

He had a decent game- but should he stay? Still hasn't convinced me.....

He's not the right keeper for me, but can't take away he's done pretty well last 2/3 games.

I like the idea of getting another keeper, a proper one, and loaning Joel out.

It feels a risk giving him games (but we have no choice) so i'd rather see if he's up to it giving someone else the risk.

If that makes sense.

Keeper is a very tough position because every mistake tends to be costly. However, he has started to settle down and last night he was certainly a contender for MOM for me. I reckon he's left for another 4-5 games to see if he continues to improve. We need a settled Defence if we are going to start climbing the table.

Hes had a good last 2 or 3 games and is getting better as they go on.

At least he should be our back up

If Everton don't buy a new keeper he should be the first choice. If he manage to preform at a decent level that is.

The no.1 shirt is his to lose now, IMO.....as things stand at the moment.

Any goalkeeper we bring in at this stage is going to come with an element of risk.

At the rate of improvement we have seen over the last few games I think he could grow into the job and become our custodian for the foreseeable.

But that performance in the shoot out was dire

Every player deserves a chance....he's getting his now....if Howard was fit this weekend I'd still stick with Robles after last night....
Give him a run of games and see what he can do...

....as I posted elsewhere, we might have to put up with a few howlers but it could be worth persevering. Short-term pain, long-term gain perhaps. We can invest in the summer if it's not the case.

No. I'd keep him as first choice until the end of the season and then decide if he's good enough for the first team. If we're getting rid of a keeper it should be Howard.

Robles was immense until the shootout, could have done with Howard then.

Don't think people want him out, he isn't that horrible for a 2nd choice keeper.

i would rather we don't buy a keeper now, sell Howard to the MLS in the summer and buy a first choice keeper with Joel as the backup.
