Just get it over and done with, if he's the man we're going for sign him asap. Then i'll give him my full support.

I don't know what to think. He had no money at Wigan, they got relegated. He has no money at Everton, but better players. What happens when the better players move on? Can he work his magic in the transfer market and find us Pienaar's, Arteta's, Cahill's, Coleman's, Gibsons etc. That's my biggest fear.

He'll possibly have the most a manager has had in years here though if we sell Felli and get the TV dough.

Could be worse. Of course he's just got Wigan relegated, but at the same time he kept them in the league for a while with an awful team and has won more in the last 10 years than we have.

Some dodgy signings, but let's not forget that here he can pay players 5x as much and will be a more attractive prospect due to having a better team and being a far bigger club. Plus I imagine our scouting team will remain generally the same.

Wigan's defence has been awful, yes, but we've got Jagielka/Distin to their Caldwell/Boyce and Baines to their Espinoza, so individual mistakes will be reduced and we'll have better defensive specialist coaches I reckon. If there's still issues we could appoint Weir to specifically look after defensive issues.

His teams have played a good style of football and he seems like a nice, honest guy which isn't the most important thing but is still good.

All in all I'd have maybe preferred one or two of the other names mentioned but I'm quite happy with this. For those who aren't - say what you like on forums, but keep it here, eh? Be as positive as possible at the game as no good can come from our manager being slated to his face. And remember: at least it's not Mark Hughes.

Systems often relate to players available and I doubt he will want 3 at the back at Everton.
Regardless of the effectiveness of 3 at the back I think our team (specifically our full backs) are a great fit with that system. We'd need a new CB (or two if we ship Heits) but we'd need that anyway. I'd be willing to give it a shot.

That can apply to most managers, we have lost the best manager in the league who could get cheap gems and this was Moyes best feature. Martinez will have his own special attributes to bring to this club.

Oh come on mate, don't be so naïve, of course they'll have spoken, he's not chucked his hand in without having something lined up. It's all over bar the shouting. So your dreams of Lennon are shattered mate, sorry x

No mate I honestly don't think Kenwright and Martinez have properly spoken yet. The latter might have had all sorts fed to him.

I'm just saying it's not a done deal.

and yes I can still dream of L***** x

Coleman and Baines would make great wingbacks, if we get another DEFENFER and then have Duffy and Stones as back up.

Everton being in "talks" with anyone doesn't really mean much, I bet the deal will get held up over a hidden knee injury
