As I've said before.
I'm guilty of giving him too much time this season.
I've actually been to more aways than homes though oddly enough, so I know I've missed some utter stinkers at goodison, so that's why I maybe thought we weren't as bad, as we clearly are ?

Rom, Ross and Del still excite me.. And Stones was very good again yesterday.

It's just so bloody frustrating isn't it eh..

It is.

Del stepped up when he came on yesterday. Stones showed that when he plays his own game and doesn't worry about what people say/fans think, he's one of the best around... at 21.

Rom and Ross, unfortunatley, didn't step up.

That's not to slate them. And in the first half of this season we played some really great stuff and I think could count ourselves unlucky. However, we've thrown away too many points and since that West Ham game, looked a shadow of the team we can be.

I have read a few quotes on here about big dunc being banned from the dressing room. Sorry if I missed the post's but can someone bring me up to speed on this. Is it a rumour /common knowledge etc.

Yes Dunc is banned from the dressing room on match days. The reason is not clear, but as he is a BIG fan of Bielsa's total pressing game, he wouldnt enjoy RM's no-press policy at all. So I imagine RM doesnt want big Dunc in there telling the players to "Get right intae them!!!"

The more i have been talking about it on here today mate, the more i'm not sure if i would rather right now have him over Mourinho, the guy has unlike Mourinho always left his clubs in a really good state in terms of personal than when he arrived (Malaga being a weird case due to the mess the owners made of things)

When his buiggest failiures as a manager are setting a record pints total and goals scored for Madrid and coming second to the best Barca team possibly ever and only winning 3 trophies in 3 years with City and finally being the manager to get them over the hump in the CL then its a bloody impecable CV

Pellegrini would suit us more than Mourinho.

And Pellegrini is (even if unlikely) much more likely than Mourinho.

I know people keep saying Frank De Boer but it seems Cocu has the better of him in recent years.

Both winners as players with Barcelona. Wouldn't be upset with either.

Will be honest mate, i'd rather we went for someone who is seasoned and shown it at the top level - even if due to the age it will only be a 3-4 years appointment max, if we get it right then the next manager we go for can be the likes of the De Boers or Cocu AFTER they have already taken the plunge outside of Holland as the club will look a lot more enticing by that time - 'with luck'

I think there's more to it than rumours, it's coming from more than social media, there's too much chat (privately) from well placed sources to just dismiss it as rumour. No-one has been able to confirm it yet though.

Certainly I don't have anything to say 100 % that a conclusion has been reached.

Best guess would be that the discussions that have taken place in the last couple of weeks have continued post match.

If they've reached a conclusion it's going to be by mutual agreement either (i) immediately - tomorrow morning or (ii) he will see our the season and leave then.

As I mentioned last night I can see no business or footballing reason for the situation to continue beyond tomorrow.

Yes, but unfortunately that's expecting logic from people who seem to have shown little so far by not sacking him already

Also get that deal signed right now with him to take over soon as City finish their season and we could actually be hiring the current CL winning manager to boot

Character wise - pelligrini is absolutely top notch, think one of the most respected figures int he game really

He's absolutely a Tier 1 manager and there are few of them around. For sheer popcorn alone I'd have Jose first but Pellegrini is a top top manager and until recently, way out of our paygrade.

Stones actually gave it laces a few times yesterday as well.. Proper hoof and clear the danger. His boss runs etc.. We're a highlight as he just oozed class.. In fact he should have continued a few of those runs as no one was getting near him !
But, no way was he told to boot it away.. I reckon he's just playing his own game now.
Again, it's only my opinion that.

haha. yes!

Well, from the little I know, we have been in contact with Pel. Unconfirmed rumours but one of the lads I work with is well-connected at City and his understanding is Pel wants to stay in England.

However, he also has an offer from Valencia (though they can't compete with the money we have (lol)). There's also strong rumours that he may be in line for the Spain job
