I've played 11 a side and if you belive that, you have no idea what you're talk about. You do not follow him out unless everyone is playing man to man marking, you're leaving a massive hole to be exploited, it wasn't on a counter attack which I can understand, it was a passage of play where the the player could have been passed off to the fullback.

There where holes everywhere in that first half, we where getting dragged left right and centre and that's the reason why. People where getting pulled our of position and United were utilising the holes to find space and turn at us.

Try understanding the game, it may help you a lot. And 5 a side doesn't count

it did weirdly feel like after 50 mins the players just ignored instructions and played their own game.

either way, we need some fresh coaching and high-end management for next season, hopefully without any major player losses.
