My thinking at the moment is that Saha has to go. He seems to have no hunger at all to break his long goalscoring drought. We can't afford to have a passenger on such high wages.

As a potential replacement, Robbie Keane is being shipped out of Spurs in January. His contract runs until 2013 but, as he's made just two appearances this season, they can't really expect more than a couple of million for him. He'd be just the sort of intelligent, hard-running forward that we need. He's still got about four years left in him and his strike rate is better than 1 in 3. He could be the perfect foil for either Beckford or Yakubu. There would be no doubting his desire, as he'd have a point to prove to both Redknapp and the RS. If the price is right, it's a no-brainer for me. I would want to move Louis on to accommodate him though.

He will score no doubhts about that, but not the powerfull centre forward Davey likes especially with Cahill in the team. I beleive he has turned us down before he is a massive red also. That said i wouldnt be against it and he would improve us.

Wage demands and wild inconsistency, coupled with a degree of "big time charlie" about him, makes me suggest a long-term deal is asking for trouble.

I wouldn't mind him on a year long loan like Jo and a short term deal afterwards if he does well.

Won't happen though.

According to some of the tabloids, Spurs would be interested in taking Pienaar in January in a straight swap. If he's not going to sign, it sounds like a good deal to me. Peanuts is playing reasonably well, but he's not turning matches for us.

I'm not sure whether he could lead the line himself. He's not the most physical of players, but he's crafty and has years of experience. I was thinking of him as one half of a pair though. He might want to stick two fingers up to the RS by coming to us. He's not at the peak of his powers anymore, so we might have a chance of landing him.

I'd take that deal to be honest. 2 or 3 year contract, same wages as Pienaar... yeah I can go for that.

I would only take him if we are still doing awful by January, and it's only short term. He is not an long term answer.

It was only at Liverpool that he didn't do the business and that's because Rafael didn't play to his strengths. Even there, his strike rate was 1 in 4. I think he's matured. He could be as influential for us as Cahill. If it's a straight swap for a player we're going to lose on a free anyway, there's no risk. I wouldn't want us to become over-loaded with aging forwards though.

I think he'd give us some more guile and movement upfront. You'd imagine that Beckford and Keane together at Leeds would be sensational, so why not for us? Our current strikers are offering nothing. We need to shake it up (and cheaply) sooner rather than later. If Robbie can get us 6 goals in the 19 games after Christmas, they could turn draws into wins.

Over the years he has changed his game, he plays deeper now and he comes with the added bonus of goals, playmaking ability and assits i would see him as one of a pair though possibly with Beckford - hes a clever player.

He grew up close to me and we played against each other at schoolboy level (he and Richard Dunne played in the same team) on many occasions, hes a died in wool red mate, so im not sure.

I liken the evolution of his game similar to that at Sheringham in his latter years.

Not for me anymore. Used to rate him, but personally think he's over the hill as a player. The amount of playing time he got at the Redshite and now at Spurs, is prove of that, I think.

I agree. When he was in the side at Spurs he was generally the one instigating counter attacks and looking to get in behind defenders. I think he would give us the forward impetus that we've been lacking.

He has a gret work rate as well which would be appreciated by Davey and the fans he could definitely add to us if the deal was sound like.
