Said that to someone earlier , this is stupid stuff people get for free to mess around with , how good the high tech stuff most be of where it’ll be in couple of years is as you say scary.

I'd imagine people who go to Hurlingham aren't short of a few bob.
I'm not sure why they'd care if he's there now anyway. Surely the event itself and the money that they've paid are all done in the name of securing political influence and would have been arranged and paid well in advance of the election being called for July.
So even if he were there, what are they going to gain from a word in his ear with weeks left in No. 10?
