Can't believe I forgot. I was away during the anniversary of Vijays death and was meant to post a reminder on the anniversary of his death before I went but anyway, always better late than never.

For newer members - just over a year ago one of our members died. 'All Blue Vijay'. His son, Deepak left the following message;

Thank you from my Dad.
Hello all Everton fans,

My father died very suddenly just before twelve today on this very forum from what appears to be a massive heart attack.

My name is Deepak, the youngest son of Vijay. As some of you may be aware my dad was a very ill man indeed. He went to his first Everton match in the early fifties after arriving from India to Liverpool. He went to every game home and away until 2002. He loved Everton football club and was devastated when he had to give up his season ticket due to his amputations and ill health. We tried for years to get him online and he would not. Only when we told him of these types of forums he would agree to one.

I would like to thank all who interacted with him. You made his last few months enjoyable because he was always talking of the grand old team website.

He leaves a wife, four sons and a daughter. Plus many grandchildren from seven to fifteen who absolutely adored him.

I wish all of you and your club the very best in the future.

Thank you, Deepak.
RIP Vijay.

RIP Vijay

I actually read this last year and it brought tears to my eyes. I can't read it again this year, its a bit too emotional. I just want to send Deepak and his family my best wishes.

RIP Vijay, i remember him dying, he'd been posting on here not long before, give Labby a hug from me mate x

Wow, I can't believe it's a year already :( I'm not normally one for getting all sad for people's passings, but Vijay was a good poster imo, we could do with more people like him. My best wishes to his family, today and every day.
