RIP Ryan Dunn

Jesus christ, calm down lads. You all are acting like "complete c*cks". Just leave it, lads.

Why? I just want an apology, is that too much? Nik's flat spinning, hay makers all over the shop and looking like a right Tit.

He needs to pull his head in or he needs to sit out for awhile.

I have no problem with someone going to a bar and getting sloshed. That's their right. I don't agree with that style of living but that's their right.

But the minute they get behind the wheel of a car, they've made it my problem. I'm at risk, a family member is at risk, a friend is at risk.

I have the ABSOLUTE right to live in a society where drink driving doesn't occur and my life isn't threatened but the reality is that it's going to occur everyday. I'd love to have drink drivers hammered (no pun intended) with very stiff penalties (i.e. jail time for your FIRST offense) so that this sort of thing is cut out.

Do I have sympathy for someone who died behind the wheel of a car because they were inebriated? Not really They made their choice and it cost them dearly. Worse, it's going to leave pain and scars on family members and friends.

Too bad about Mr. Dunn but frankly, he made his bed and now he's sleeping in it. I'm just thankful that no one else, other than his passenger was hurt. You may think that sounds calloused and it probably does but perhaps, just perhaps, someone, due to hearing about his death, will think twice before getting behind the wheel while drunk.

You must be on a wind up now.

I'm framing some of your replies to put in the Museum of Blert.

Frame this one mate.

I'm not saying another thing about this topic, because this is just so beautifully put.

Nik? Blue 1? It's people like you guys that make it okay to get behind the wheel pissed. Shame on you. This clown got exactly what he deserved, and if you don't think he did, I don't want to have to be driving around with my little girl when you idiots are on the road.

McBain said:
Accused of what mate? Did someone accuse you of something, or did they ask you a question, and you misinterpreted it?

McBain said:
Yawn. You gotta play a different record. i didn't make anything personal, just asked questions that were obviously too hard hitting for some.

Someone needs a cuddle

OK I said I was out, but what the hell? How is that first remark not personal?

If I've misinterpreted something then fair enough, McBain, but you're going to have to point out what, I'm afraid. I don't think you can blame me for taking that first remark as accusing me of sticking up for drunk drivers. And you did call me an idiot. I don't really know why. All I did was try to explain how drunk driving happens, not excuse it. I'm not some stupid kid, mate. I'm 35 years old and have lost friends to drunk driving, never done it myself, and fought with friends over them doing it. I have absolutely no time for it whatsoever, but I don't think the people who do it are necessarily evil, and find the comparison to shooting up a school risible. Not sure that was your comparison, though, in fairness. I've been a bloody sight politer to you than you have to me, too, so why the high-handed condescention?

What was the hard-hitting question in there, by the way? I'm afraid I missed it.

Don't worry about it blue1. He's been caught out and proven to be a hypocrite and now he's making out like he was on a popcorn mission all along. Role with it. Bravo mcbain, I got done!

And even though it's been proven that he got 'personal' first he's always gonna have people on his side. He's been around here for ages, and in the past I've really not been arsed about being controversial or telling the truth about things people don't wanna hear. So I know I won't get a lot of support in threads like this. I'm not bothered about not getting the love, it just unfortunatly supports himself in his own head that his argument that it's as evil as shooting up or school and the fact that he takes pleasure in ryan's death isn't sick. That's what's so frustrating. The only thing I've said wrong on this thread is when I told him to '**** himself'. Which was out of order, but only after he addressed me personally first.

I also don't understand all this personal business. Surely if your debating/arguing/ whatever then every comment is personal on a forum level. It's hardly as if we all know eachother so how can it be truly personal?

Meh, carry on.

Lets just nip this in the bud now and remember him for his A1 performance in the Hangover 1/2
