I'm sure many here are currently located far from elderly parents and shudder with fearful recognition of Klopp's situation. That's certainly the case with me. It's gratifying to see so much sympathy expressed in this thread.

Nevertheless it has strengthened me, as were the messages in 2008 when my Dad died. Thanks!

Very sad to hear this, especially about him being unable to attend.

I do think though this says a lot about the quality of the man; that he's not used his position to get special favours or as an excuse for anything puts him streets ahead (as a human being) of our political leaders (here and in Europe) and especially above the people disgracing themselves in so many ways during this crisis.
