I presume it's the travelling between Britain and Germany that's the problem, not the physical act of being at the funeral. My cousin's funeral last week was attended by his immediate family and a bunch of other people.

Hello mate, I can see you've been bearing this drum in the witchunt thread. It's a fair point, but perhaps not becoming of us in the circumstances?

I have absolutely no problem with people offering condolences, but what’s the need to make excuses for his behaviour because of it? He is who he is as a person, he hasn’t changed one bit. Of course the news about his mother is awful and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. I genuinely and sincerely offer my sympathies to him and his family. But the link between this and his recent behaviour in interviews is just simply not there, and there’s no need for people to bring it up.
