Richarlison

He very rarely starts for them, and has been injured most of the season, think they'd probably want him off the wage bill + a decent loan fee and an obligation
Sounds like a great opportunity, great deal for us, bad deal for Spurs, get a talented player that`s been injured and missing lots of games. What could go wrong for us.

Maybe I am being forgetful but when was the last time the club officially went in for an ex player?

The fans generally talk about past players, but that is natural as that is what we know. However, the club going in for past players is something I can't really recall, even any valid/reliable media comments about them?

The second part is something I logically agree with but a lot of me just loves the guy. I have a really strong hope that he comes back and lifts us to a great season in our new shiny stadium.
Gana gueye.

I'm going to flip that mate and say that I'd be surprised in the PL era if any club had re-signed players more than Everton.

Beagrie, Unsworth, Ferguson, Stubbs, McFadden, Pienaar, Gravesen, Manny Fernandes, Jeffers, Donovan, Rooney, Gana Gueye and Deulofeu are the ones I can think of.

Look across the park and they've re-signed 3 players in the same period - Staunton, Fowler and Bellamy.

It isn't a stretch to suggest that we have form for this sort of thing.

To apply this to Richarlison - I loved the guy when he was here. You cannot knock what he gave to this club, left everything out there on the pitch and I'd take that Richarlison back in a heartbeat - but he's 3 years older, has a terrible injury record and hasn't really been in any sort of meaningful form for a while. Added to that, he earns good money - anything more than a loan or a deal where Spurs take a huge bath (and Levy pretty much never does this) seems unwise.
I’d rather cover my genitalia with loft insulation.

I doubt it will be a loan and it won't be a cheap purchase given who he is contracted to.

Also, Everton and Spurs aren't the only two clubs in the world. There will be demand for his services.

We have so many positions to fill, I find it hard to believe we'd spend a ton on a 28 year old who hasn't been fit since he left Everton.

I don't think so personally, I think he was decent for us, not as good as perhaps we think or remember.
Injuries are building up over last couple of seasons also. Move on I say !.

It is being mooted quite a bit about him possibly returning.

What does everyone think on this ?
Not sure. I like him. He IS a Blue. He clearly loves us. He needs love. But they say "never go back". Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't (think girlfriends, wives, partners, etc). I suppose, all things considered, I will say YES, as once back in a place where he is happy, he might perform well.

Getting him on loan would swing it for me, I think.

I don’t think we should buy him and whack him on a 3 year deal.

But he could offer us something for a season on loan, even with the injury risk.

We know he’d come, we know he’d graft for the shirt - and we know he’d score.
Sensible post

Not for me

Had my fill of sentimental Everton

Although I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a late deadline day addition on loan if the window isn’t going great, to placate a lot of fans.

Don't think it's sentiment from Everton's perspective.

Take our last handful of loans - he'd comfortably outperform them all.

Take the sentiment away from his side, and he wouldn't entertain us.

All comes down to the terms.
