I love Richarlison, but, I thought he was very poor, apart from his goal, last night. He just doesn't seem to have the same dynamism about him that he did here. Of course, that could be because he is unhappy at Spurs. Either way, I'd only want him back here on a loan with a reasonably priced option, unlikely when Levy is involved.

Niggling injuries, his first start since Feb last night. Barely had minutes since then so will look rusty.

I mean, this season hasn’t been great for him but that could be a one off.

Last season he made 31 apps in all comps and season before he made 35.

In his final season for us he made 33.

We knew what we were getting with Broja as he hasnt made 30 appearances in 3 seasons now.

Broja was/is an inexpensive more or less risk-free loan.

Re-signing Richarlison, for presumably relatively big money on relatively big wages when everyone can see he's had lots of fitness issues and doesn't look like quite the same player anymore, would be an entirely different proposition.

Sensible clubs do not do this sort of thing - move on and try to find the next Richarlison, rather than signing the one we have good memories of and made good money on

I do wonder with Richarlison if his lack of dynamism is just because he really doesn’t want to be there, but you’re right an initial loan with a reasonable option is the way to go!

Risk free? Not sure about that. He was gash before he came here, he’s been injured before and during his time here. I’m not a fan of Rico coming back for footballing reasons, but he gets fan support and that’s rare these days.

Relatively risk free, yeah

We didn't pay a single penny until he was recovered from his initial injury, from there on there has been no loan fee involved, we've only been covering wages and there's no obligation to buy him - his last injury was significant enough that the club's insurance *should* have kicked in some of the contribution on the wages.

It may not have worked out, but there wasn't a great deal of risk associated with the deal.

He's ten times the player of anything we currently have. He's never been wanted there and as such his heart has never been there.
Massive drop off from what he had and was here.
His heart is broken.
The spark has gone out.

Lots of people saying his injury record.Nearly all the Spurs squad was crocked when we played them at Goodison. Big question mark over Spurs medical and fitness staff for me.

We went through almost exactly the same conversations with Pienaar. When he came back he was a shell of his former self and was regularly injured, he never actually played that much afternoon came back.

I agree but also as a note Pienaar was good when he came back.

The initial loan was hit or miss, but when we bought him back after that was probably one of his best seasons with us, and definitely his most productive goals-wise.

Any player currently at Tottingham is most likely injured all the time and they're all blaming luck in some bizarre ritualistic fashion. Couldn't be the suicide football or poor preparation, it's definitely luck and nothing else. At least Leeds fans realised they crocked half their team with Bielsaball.

I know its easy to say and lets be honest most players we have loved have moved on to celebrate goals with the same passion as they did here....

Richarlison just hasn't that same passion at Spurs. I think the only goals he celebrated with the same passion involved that disallowed one at Anfield and his hatty in the champs league.

That being said I am 50/50 about him coming back, would say I prefer we didn't resign today but that may change tomorrow.

The role as a single striker has never suited him. He could replace Doucoure or as a .winger.
