Richarlison

4 goals and 1 assist in 11 games now. But that’s only across 383 mins as he has only started 3.

Better goal contribution rate than anyone on our team.

I’d have him back in a heartbeat. Last player for us to get 10 in a season (and he did so in 3 out of 4 seasons). And we are screaming out for a player that can do that. He also can be that utility forward that we need allowing us to change things around when needed.

But spurs will want to make a psr profit on him and that will be too much (by my understanding, a minimum of £24m).

I’d offer a loan with an obligation based on number of appearances of say 20m (as another year on that would given them an £8m profit on him next summer).

I love Richarlison, but, I thought he was very poor, apart from his goal, last night. He just doesn't seem to have the same dynamism about him that he did here. Of course, that could be because he is unhappy at Spurs. Either way, I'd only want him back here on a loan with a reasonably priced option, unlikely when Levy is involved.

One of the best qualities a footballer has is availability. Since going to Spurs he's been plagued by injuries, specifically muscle injuries. I love him and he loves the club but I don't want to start the new era in that way. We already wasted a loan spot this season with Broja.

If Richarlison digs his feet in and threatens a DCL, then EFC could pick him up for a lot less than 24 million

Unless the love he gets here is the magic ingredient in keeping him fit and firing, then it's gotta be one helluva cheap deal to bring him back - unfortunately we don't have the luxury of having a squad that can allow an indulgence as buying a player who isn't available half the time even if he is good when hs is fit.

I'm not adverse to having him back in the right circumstances, but I can't see Spurs and Levy not having our trousers down over this - especially after the loan deal for Dele Alli went so far south that they had to send a rocket to the south pole just to retrieve him from low space orbit.

So I’m not necessarily advocating for his return but in reply to your initial point I think it is a factor . I think he loves to be loved and I think he revels in that which drives him to perform .

Fitness and cost are obviously real issues but I honestly believe we’d see a substantial increase in his performance here on the basis he feels loved . whether that’s because he feels he wants to give that bit more or whether he feels he can take more chances without losing support or whatever I don’t know but some players need ‘love’ and I think he’s one of them .

I mean, this season hasn’t been great for him but that could be a one off.

Last season he made 31 apps in all comps and season before he made 35.

In his final season for us he made 33.

We knew what we were getting with Broja as he hasnt made 30 appearances in 3 seasons now.

More or less admitted he played injured when he should not have had when with us, reckon he has crocked himself at this level of competitiveness, swerve...

When you break it down to minutes though it's not as impressive.

This season his average is 38 minutes per game, last season his average was 56 minutes per game and the season before that it was 42 minutes per game.

He was averaging 83 minutes per game for us in his last season.

Granted, at Spurs it has also been due to him not getting selected at times but the majority of it is due to injury.
