Yes, exactly what we need more of on this forum: Evertonians reminding eachother that we are indeed a small club.
Each season up until the pandemic we've been in key fights with them for european places, playing sixpointers, even exchanging key players or battling for the same caliber players' signatures. Yes, Spurs have been doing better lately than the majority of their traditional rivals but you know we'll be giving them a fight and you better get your head out of that small-time Rafael-Benitez-themed bucket you've stuck it in.

I’m not entirely sure we have…

Good luck Richi, hoped you would go on to bigger and better than spurs tbh but hey ho. It will be interesting to see how many free kicks he will start getting, and if the narrative from cry baby petulant whinging brazilian will change.

I'm not seeing a lot of positives heading into next season and I'm a pretty glass half full type of fan.

I'm sure I'll be convinced we're great by the start of august though, its the hope that kills you.

Spurs?...meh...I don't dislike them tbh, but at best, they're a fair to middling team... and I am a little surprised at his lack of ambition. He's part of the the Brazilian football team's strike force FFS.
As I say, I hold no enmity toward Tottenham, but this whole deal is a just a little bit 'meh'

He wants to play in the Champions League. Spurs are in the Champions League and by and large always challenge to be in the Champions League.
