2020/21 Richarlison

Think it's inevitable we lose Richarlison at some point - and this summer may be as sensible a time as any.
He's going to be absolutely gassed after playing TWO tournaments in the summer - and was already looking not quite his best through the season anyway.

In terms of his value, we should absolutely make a very healthy profit on what we paid Watford. I wouldn't be accepting anything less than £80m.
  1. His goals output has increased massively since we signed him. Remember he'd only scored 5 or so for Watford when we got him. Last season was a really poor season by his standards - yet he still got double figures and scored the key goal in an Anfield derby, finishing it like a seasoned pro.
  2. he's become an established starter for Brazil. He's keeping Roberto Firmino, amongst others, out of the team.
  3. He's 24 and yet to reach his peak,
  4. he is very, very versatile playing across the front 3. Plus he absolutely works his socks off.
Like Lukaku and Stones before him - he's one of those players who a section of our fans, for some reason, will never quite rate that highly - but then we'll watch go on to much bigger and better things, and win loads of trophies.

Good luck to him.

Losing two of our best players it seems. We need to offload 10 mercenaries and we are losing 2 of our best.

This doesn't look good. Ben has one hellava jerb on his hands. Finish top 8 he deserves a statue.

Unfortunately his goal return plus the economic downturn means there won't be many,if any takers.

Excellent post. I still don't think any one is paying big bucks for him though

Take a step back and lighten up folks.

With the Olympics on I don’t think he’ll be off anywhere this summer.

And even if he does, we’ll replace him. He’s a fabulous player but not irreplaceable.

I think he probably stays yes.

But if he does start pushing to leave after the Olympics then we are in a very tricky situation and will struggle to replace him in time. I'd hope it's been made clear that since we are allowing him to play in an underage competition and potentially miss some matches, then he will be staying and he will have to accept that. We've been very generous with him by allowing him to play. Arguably too generous when you look at other sides who haven't released players.
