I agree. One of his best performances imo and he didnt even score. Was excellent on the ball, held it up, won free kicks to relieve pressure when we needed it and showed maturity that ive not seen from him before.

Tired in the latter part of the second half but only because he had put in a proper shift.

I think since the diving accusation was leveled at him he's stopped throwing himself to ground so easily and looks a much better player for it.

He was caned 2nd half and the last 15.minutes kept stretching them on that left hand side. Wan Bissaka dealt with him really well but Richarlison kept getting in the box, kept trying to beat him. You could see he was hopeful of just one mistimed tackle.

Great effort from the kid today, him and DCL aren't working together like an old fashioned 2 just yet, but what they are doing is both working very hard and it's certainly giving defender's a lot more to think about.

The one where he skinned the fullback and chipped it straight to Leno is a good example of his struggles wide. Even promising things end up bad.

Hopefully Carlo sees what he's good at early on and gets him in positions to do those things. He's easily our best attacker so it should be built around him. Everyone else should be asked to fit in.
