Reputation System - Disabled

Hi All,

With regret, I've disabled the reputation system.

Unfortunately, despite best efforts to minimise potential abuse (Negative Rep prompting a moderator alert) - we have had a handful of absolute idiots abusing the system. Those idiots will shortly find themselves permanently banned for being malicious, misrepresenting our community and wasting our time.

The reputation system will be revamped and back shortly.

It was the positive rep commenting which was the problem.

Any negative rep triggered an alert for moderators - positive rep didn't. So yep - fools started to leave abusive comments in positive reps.

Anyone who is against anonymous rep is a humourless son of an orphaned piglet.

What's the benefit of having a neg rep other than singling people out or marking them. Some find it funny, but having been on the brunt of a lot of neg rep recently. I see that everyone. Not just regular posters tend to want to draw you in or ridicule you. I don't see the benefit of it other than singling people out.
