Reports: Serious Sigurdsson Injury

Really? You mean other clubs physios inspect the wrong knee of a player during a match, only for him to rupture his ligaments and be out for 13 months?
Yes, I think all physios occasionally make mistakes. And I like the way you assume that this misdiagnosis caused the other injury. Do you know why you think that, even though there is no proof?

Or inspect a player with torn ligaments and tell them they're ok to finish the game?
Yes, this happens in all sports. Does it happen more to Everton than other clubs? I doubt it, but you assume that it does. Do you know why you make that assumption?

Or give a deep tissue massage to a player that causes him to tear his hamstring and costs the club 20m in transfer fee?
Total fiction. Is there a reputable report that says this anywhere? And yet you believe it. Can you guess why?

utter nothing players like Dowell and Davies.

Mate i have never heard of someone tearing their left knee ligaments and the physio inspecting the right knee... I'm not just talking about sport I'm talking about life in general

Amazing how often our best players like Siggy and Lukaku before him are vilified. It is all about opinion but some are warped.

Oh come on... I'm not Lukaku's biggest fan to put it mildly but at least I could see the merits of people rating him because of his sheer goal return if nothing else. So I can see why people thought him as our best player.

But Sigurdsson? What's he done? At best, he's our best player in theory only because of his price tag, but the reality is he's been totally Leon Osman since he arrived and he's only ever shone as a big fish in a little pond for Swansea and Iceland - he's floundered badly at bigger clubs.

As for villified? How? People just aren't grabbing the hankies and sobbing over him being out injured because he's basically been missing this season anyway. It's indifference, not villifying - there's a pretty big difference.

I simply see it as an unfortunate injury to a squad player. Pretty much like Funes Mori - I care a bit, not much, but a bit.

Osman walks in to this team

Does anyone know what the extent of the injury is? The report from his brother or whatever it was seemed to suggest ligament on the outside of his knee, I'm no doctor of medicine but having done both ACLs I think (not sure but think) they are on the inside of the knee not the outside, so hopefully not an ACL injury.

Completely agree in terms of most of his career here. Osman tailed off badly at the end - Sigurdsson is at that standard now.
Nah i don't see it, Sigurdsson is a very good player. technically sound, quick feet, keeps the ball well and brings others in to play. When he hasn't been baby sitting Martina he looks like our best player

I can answer that last question.

Because our physios and doctors seem incompetent and have done since early in Martinez's reign.

The ligaments on the outside of the knee are the collateral ligaments. There's a medial and a lateral one. Generally much quicker recovery time.
