Even worse was how our fans in the lower gwladys reacted, disgusting behaviour throwing whatever they could and spitting on red****e players absolute animals who should be banned from entering a football stadium ever again

He was the reason, dubious or not, behind Liverpool's advantage to be fair.

I just don't think it's right to give players accolades for "cheating". It's not a good message to send out to kids who are learning the game, play like Suarez and the worlds your oyster. I hope he chokes on his champers

Something to lighten the mood lads, well i think its funny.

quality

You're a man who does not differentiate between a foul and cheating. I understand martial arts and I know they teach the difference quite early on. Maybe you've still a way to go, lad.

You also do not understand the difference.

Let me explain.

Cheating: simulating and/or disguising an act which the referee does not see/is fooled by to the detriment of the opposition.

Intentional foul: openly committing a foul against the rules of the sport in an attempt to benefit your team and stop the opposition's progress.

Suarez's handball in the World Cup can be compared to when the last defender trips over the striker on his way to goal and gets red-carded for it. Is that cheating or is that an obvious foul which gets fairly punished (by a red card)?

Suarez's feigning injury to influence the referee in unfairly sending off an opposing team-mate is no foul, but it is clearly cheating.

So you understand now the difference between a foul and cheating?

You're completely missing the point - you're using defintions from the football rule book. My whole argument is that football has completely lost it's way. In any other definition of cheating what Suarez did both today and in the world cup was absolutely, unquestionably cheating. I know he is not the only one guilty, and I know over the years cases could be made against some of our own - but that's the point, the game is corrupt, win at all costs and people are blinded to the fact that cheating is cheating, regardless of what the FIFA (Blatter) rule book says.

Uh, i think you'll find there's quite a difference between being politically correct and hurling objects and spitting on people. Guess what ? Throwing a coin at Suarez won't change the score, it just makes your fans look like absolute tvvats.

Mate, I would save a goal-bound shot with my hand even in a Sunday League game if it was a really important match and we were drawing with just seconds to go and they just swung in a viscious corner. Nothing to do with FIFA.

It's normal, natural and instinctive to do that. Ask anyone who's played football regularly. Yes, it's a foul...but it's not cheating.

The real issues the pro game has is the cheating and conning. That means:

- match-fixing
- feigning injury
- imploring the ref to show opposing players cards
- surrounding the ref or pressurising them during high-profile media interviews

The respect for the refs went out the window with the dawn of the Premiership. And that neatly explains why we only have **** refs left now.

I completely agree mate, it was cringeworthy. Shown up, live on sky, infront of millions! I know most evertonians are decent people but them idiots have let us down

Don't get me wrong. I'm all for retroactive banning for diving and embellishing. The game is better played honestly. I've had my feet stamped on before and it hurts, but that's no reason to roll around clutching your face.

So this, made us look as bad as the ******** suarez

I agree - these are the biggest issues in the game, and frankly they are killing it. Agree to disagree on the exact definition of cheating as I will maintain that to knowingly commit a foul is different to mistiming a tackle.

The only thing I'd add to your list is the influence of money - now more than ever this drives the game, and it will be interesting to see whether UEFA have got the balls to call City to account for their joke of a sponsorship deal (which is effectively with their owners) that generates them £400 million of income to get around the financial fair play rules. Some how I doubt they will.

Whilst these problems are obvious to the vast majority of ordinary fans, unfortunately so long as the money keeps rolling nothing is going to change. My heart breaks that it is entirely conceivable that we, and a whole host of other clubs, will never contend for the title ever again

it wont change the score no ****, dont think they were trying to change the score. I dont get the point your trying to make. Do you agree they're animals and should be banned for life?
