Reidy's Bottle Of Grecian

The Unobstructed View
Due to a recent 'incident' involving liquid and my trusty 'arl acer laptop, it has been written off by my insurance company. Now I was hoping it would be an Acer that was offered but apparently my insurance company think that Acers aftercare is crap so won't supply them (6 years and I never needed to use aftercare but heyhum).

Anyhow the replacement on offer is a Toshiba SAt c660-14x given that my other was 5-6 years old it must be better ?

Now I'm not in a position to chuck extra at it for an upgrade so it's this or a cash settlement (£339 after the excess) and tbh the cash would end up spent elsewhere and I would be on the netbook forever and a day. So the question is to all you tech savvy lids, which I am not, despite LCAB seeming to think I am, is this any good IN COMPARISON to my 'arl one ?

specs of both posted below...

????
System memory standard : 2,048 MB
maximum expandability : 4,096 MB
technology : DDR3 RAM (800 MHz)
Hard disk capacity : 320 GB
drive rotation : 5,400 rpm

Google the laptop and read the reviews if any...but IMO seems a decent one.

Ahhh the pimping took a hit in the cold weather to be fair..

The toshiba beats the Acer hands down... It's not top of the line like but it's alot better then the acer.

It's like comparing a PS3 to a PS2.

edit. Also 620 notes for the acer is daylight robbery.

thats an 'arl price mate as they aren't available any more, I paid that all them years ago though, but there is another link on the same site that was £489, at the time it was good price and a flagship model.
