@chicoazul contradiction of the day on this page, can you find it???
I've never felt so deflated as coming back from that game. Seeing young lads who haven't seen us win a pot, crying in frustration outside. Think I stopped my season ticket after that season (Though I probably spend more in match tickets per year!). Drenthe was a bell, but an extremely good outlet.World Class or Top Class in our case make the difference especially in the big games or when things aren't going to plan. Although there was loads wrong with Deulofeu it was the reason we would have all wanted him to stay. Same with Ross.
Moyes never really had those players, Arteta was probably the closest however the one time he did have a chance to take a chance was the FA Cup Semi-final against Liverpool and he dropped Drenthe. And in that game we put out a team that had no attacking flair or pace whatsoever. It sort of summed him up for me.
I can understand why he did it but we started with Gueye instead in that game. For me that was when I finally gave up on him.
Have you ever seen a winning blues trophy winning side? DM was Gordon Lee mark 2 - no more no less and he left with cheers that soon evaporated with his behaviour over his United appointment, and his failure to excuse himself from signing a new contract as advised by SAF - TBH we should thank SAF! we hopefully now have a new exciting era ahead of us with RM!I'm not saying Martinez isn't doing a better job so far, just that Moyes did a decent job for us as well.I think your kidding yourself if you say he never.

Apologies if already asked but if Moyes came back (sat in the crowd next to BK one day lets say) does he get a warm, mixed or cold reception? Answer not how you would react but how you think the crowd would react (i.e. the difference between the GoT perception of BK v. him getting applause at the game).
DM was given money to buy players - the Yak - James Beattie - Billy- Felli lets just move on he came from the championship won nothing there either!

I'm sure he would get a very good reception, people will forget he tried to buy Baines and just be happy he paved the way for all the silverware Martinez is going to bring in.Apologies if already asked but if Moyes came back (sat in the crowd next to BK one day lets say) does he get a warm, mixed or cold reception? I have seen trophy winning teams from 1963 onwards DM is not fit to sit in HC or HK, and JR Managerial chair end of!Yes mate I have seen the 80's teams so a few trophys, I ve also seen the early and late 90's teams before and after Joe Royal so I know what its like when the manager does a crap job(Kendal included) and Moyes wasn't that. It was Time for him to move on and hopefully we'll progress again but this thread is about remembering Moyes and i'm saying he done a decent job not a crap one as some are saying.
For what he done after he left I feel a little bit different, he was a bit of a [Poor language removed] really at times.
Yes and then told the club and fans lies and left and did crap at United, and got sacked, also tried his best to poach our players the same way he went to UNT - some fans have short memories he was just another Gordon Lee only Gordon left us with more dignity and played better football - DM came in a tracksuit , and left a millionaire - 3 good seasons in 11, and some of the most boring hoof ball I have ever witnessed!
He's already eclipsed Moyes achievements - more points in a season, beaten Man United away from home, won an FA Cup medal. Played better football...
I think its fair to say that he is alreeady looking a better manager.
