Sitting on a lowly 28 points total for the season and the bare minium being 40 (to avoid the unmentionable) I think we should have more than enough in the tank to avoid the drop.

However, several games do become critical. 12 points out of 11 games seems reasonable but Everton being Everton, who knows. On paper all of our remaining games are winnable but since when has it worked out that way...

I think we're in for a final push and hopefully the traditional points grab we're used to in the latter stages of the season.

Come on Everton, lets finish strongly. 27 points please.

40 often isn't the bare minimum needed for safety, and I suspect will be closer to 36 perhaps this year.

That being said, we still need 8 points to achieve that this season. The fact that we're even needing to talk about this is criminal from Roberto.

Can we achieve 8 points? I'd say so, yes. Not going to predict where they'll come from, but I think we'll get them somewhere.

Sad to say it, but I hoped (rather than expected) us to go on a run at some stage and thought our results would take a positive upturn. However, it doesn't appear likely now so we're now left scrapping for points in the hope we'll eventually get enough. Desperate stuff.

I guess we'll know after the next 3 league games what lies in store.

If we start April (the Southampton home game) with no wins, I'd start to worry a bit more. Even more so if the teams below us gain some momentum too

Even though a lot are saying they don't know where the next win's coming from, I hold onto the memory of us being in some desperately worse positions than this before, in the mid 90s for example, and somehow managed to just about do enough.

In fact, I genuinely thought we were for the trapdoor before Kevin Campbell started scoring in 1999. That run of goals (and wins) came from absolutely nowhere!!
