While that is possible, they would also have to do more in their next 4 fixtures than they have in pretty much the entire season for that to happen as they have only won 4 out the previous 31.

Our safety is in our own hands realistically as we are 4 points ahead of them on equal games played.

So now it’s like they are going to win all of their remaining games attitude? I guess I just don’t get where all the optimism comes from all of a sudden.

We have to scrap for points against Liverpool and Chelsea. It’s as simple as that, stay in the game and take chances

West Ham weren’t at the races in the first half Sunday which gave Burnley some hope. In the end they clung on for a point when West Ham finally turned up in the second half.

It’s hard to call any games at this time of the year, but I could see them getting at least a point at home to Southampton.

Wolves are a good side though so that is a tough fixture.

Everton are capable of getting a point against Chelsea at home if the players put a shift in.

Looked to me tonight though like they thought they were either already safe, or it was another typically bad performance.

This season can’t end soon enough and if we do stay up and keep the majority of these players, it will just delay the inevitable for next season, unless we are lucky enough to find 3 more sides worse again.

They shipped 3 goals at Anfield to Benfica and only beat Watford/Brighton 2-0 when both of those sides were in the game for large portions - they aint unbeatable by any stretch.

Peeps have seen them turn over a gash Utd side who didnt look arsed and are worrying they'll hammer us.

If they beat us it'll be a much closer game than many on here are expecting imo.

Our run at Anfield is shocking but the way some are talking we may aswell not bother turning up.

Yeah I don't even think the sacking was as harsh as so many seem to think it was - although it was unexpected. They were really poor last season and have been terrible this season.

When I first heard he was sacked - I felt like they kept him as long as they could which isn't something most clubs do these days.

And the draw had most of their key players rested
They'll be resting some against us too after they've sewn up the tie
It's a shame but it's the reality. This game was always a goal difference issue
Burnley are 4 behind but with a game in hand as far as I see it
It would take a miracle. Best Home record, best attack, versus worst away record
