I will pee myself laughing if both Everton and Burnley stay up and Leeds go down. Looking at Leeds' fixture list, it's a possibility.

Leeds have at least 4 points left in them, which would mean Burnley need an additional 12 points to overtake them from 7 games, at the bare minimum.

I personally think we’ve still got a shocker of a run in with Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal all to come in our final 8 games.

….Leeds have lost 1 in 5, they actually won 3 of those. They are getting players back from injury & have genuine attacking threat, even against the better sides.

They’ll finish above us & I’d much prefer to be in their position than ours.

I absolutely guarantee you if we had Leeds’ fixtures left and were sat on 33 points everyone on here would be saying we’re going down.

We pretty much have their hard games don’t we?

Chelsea at Home, Arsenal Away and we go to Liverpool whilst they host City.

Add in games Vs Palace & Brentford and you’ve got the same run in + 2 games against Leicester.

I still think we need a minimum of 9 points.

They only have 6 games left and we have 8 so no we don’t have their run in.

….I’d prefer to have 5 points more than 2 games in hand.

Same but all I’m saying is if the roles were reversed, people in here would be saying they wish we had more games and more opportunities to pick up points. It’d be “Leeds will go above us when they win their two games in hand”. You can’t come up with a scenario where the narrative wouldn’t be ultimate doom and gloom for Everton.

But that’s only because of current form. If we were Leeds in Leeds’ position we wouldn’t be afraid of being leapfrogged by Everton would we.

I don’t think it is. I think our fans are conditioned to imagine worst case scenarios in every event. If we stay up you watch, we’ll have people in here worrying about a retrospective points deduction before long.
